M. Nicholas Mann, Ph.D.
M. Nicholas Mann, a principal with the Green Resource Group has thirty years experience as an organization development practitioner. Aside from his extensive career as a practitioner, Dr. Mann acquired leadership skills early on by serving as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. Currently, he is also an adjunct faculty member at the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia.
His federal government clients have included the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Departments of the Treasury, Education, Health and Human Services, Justice, Transportation, and Agriculture. He has also worked extensively with the Executive Office of the President of the United States (Office of Management and Budget) and the Smithsonian Institution. At the State and local levels, he has consulted to the State of New York's Department of Education, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Transportation, Arlington County, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. On the non-profit and private sector side, Nick has worked with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the American Public Transportation Association, the Industrial Bank of Washington, Boeing, the General Motors-United Auto Workers Center for Human Resources, International Paper, and the District of Columbia Asthma Coalition.
Coaching clients have included participants in courses on emotional intelligence at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Also, Nick has had extended coaching relationships with executives such as the Director of the National Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio; the President of the American Public Transportation Association; and a sitting Montgomery County, Maryland Council Person. He is a certified user of many personality and profiling instruments which he uses skillfully with clients.
Nick Mann has taught management communication courses as an adjunct faculty member at Howard University's School of Business. He is a past Board President of the Washington Council of Agencies and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the African Continuum Theatre Company.
Nick earned his M.A. from The George Washington University's School of Education in Human Resource Development with a concentration in guidance and counseling. His Ph.D., earned at Howard University, is in organizational communication.
